Bringing Light Into Someone's Darkness
I started making candles on a whim. I thought I could melt down wax from used candles to make nicer, newer looking candles. I found it to be a fun/relaxing project, and was immediately hooked!
.....One out of every 5 people suffer from some form of mental Illness. I am bipolar with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and insominia. Life was a struggle every day, and after over 12 years of medications, and therapists not helping I had almost completely given up hope. By this time, my anxiety had reached a point where I was in a constant state of mania and it was torture. I tried everything I had learned, I tried things that I knew wouldn't work, but hoped that they would. It only made my mind more wrecked. When I became dedicated to making candles it cleared my head more than I could ever explain. It became a time for me to just breathe, relax and focus on just the candles.
So there it is, my story about how We Care Candles came to be. I want to share my story and help others who struggle in the same way. Mental illness is a very lonely place when our loved ones have no idea how to understand us. So when you purchase a candle from W.C.C. you are helping to end the stigma. The stigma, stereotypes, and negative attitudes that surround mental health are some of the biggest challenges that we face when it comes to seeking help/treatment. You can do your part by educating yourself, and spreading the right message. You never know when you are bringing a little light into someone's darkness.

My Hand Crafted candles are made with high quality 100% soy wax. This helps U.S. farmers as they are the #1 producers of soy in the world.
Clean burning- 90% soot free. No harmful chemicals are emitted into the air unlike typical paraffin wax.
Soy wax burns cooler than any other wax. This means that a 100% soy candle will last 50% longer than the average parrafin wax candle.
